Rangers v. Devils

On Tuesday I went with my buddy Matt Johnson to the Rangers v. Devils game at MSG. Being that Matt's a hardcore Rangers fan, and I've been becoming a Devils fan since the acquisition of Ilya Kovalchuk, it was a perfect game to go to. Surprisingly it was my first live NHL game of the year.

It was fun. Marty blanked the Blue Shirts and there were many angry fans on the way out of MSG.

Chill Saturday

It was a fairly nice day Saturday. I'm getting pretty mad at how it doesn't feel like winter at all in the beginning of February in NYC. Anyway I decided to drive up to Rockland to hang out with my friends "Doza" and Khristine. We ate and bullshitted at BonChon Chicken in Nyack then bullshitted some more at a McDonald's in the same plaza.

Khristine baked me some "cake batter bars" which were pretty good. I'm sitting here having them with coffee for breakfast as I write this. They're like a mix between cake and brownies.

Hi-atus

Unfortunately I have been away from the blog for quite some time, but I have been quite busy. I'm disappointed in myself for only being able to muster 4 posts in January, with my last entry coming on the 6th of the month. To make up for the lack of blogging, here are some photos from my consecutive weekend ski trips during my hiatus.

Queue It Up: End of Season Footwear

As I'm working on graphics over at CCS I can't help but find things that I really want to buy. So I figured, why not post some items I'm eyeing from time-to-time in our shop to see what I'm into? I'm going to be calling this segment "Queue It Up at CCS" because I just love the word "Queue."

In this edition, I'm taking a look at a couple discounted footwear items since we just launched an End of Season Sale. Tons of items are discounted right now so I know it's a good time to act if I have my heart set on anything. Here's what's Queue'd Up:

1. adidas Busenitz Pro (White/Black/Gum)
For some reason I just like profile of this shoe. It's basic and I just like the aesthetic of the black accents on a white base.
2. native The Jimmy (Bunker Green)
This is an edgey choice, but who doesn't need a solid rain boot? I'm really digging native's interpretation of the duck boot and for some reason I'm just oddly attracted to this colorway.

As I already mentioned we just launched our End of Season Sale. If you haven't been over to CCS yet, here's the graphic I designed to promote the event:

One Year

So over at CCS we have a private little blog that we use to stay up to date with inter-office happenings. It's been a year since I started working with the company so to commemorate the anniversary my manager, Robyn, did a little interview with me. I don't mind sharing it so here it is:

How excited are you for hitting the 1 year mark??
__ Somewhat excited
__ A little more than somewhat excited
X Gonna throw a party tonight and first drink is on robyn's tab excited
This choice has no bearing on my excitement level as it is about my intoxication level.

If you could change 1 thing about your cubicle, it would be...
I'd want a big bouncey ball thingy that I can hop around on. Isn't that what they do at Google?

The first person I met at CCS was...
It was Robyn but if that doesn't count, Justin!

When I'm not here, you can find me at...
Atlantic City! Specifically the Borgata Poker Room

My typical lunch order is...
At work its a Double Whopper with Fries and a Dr. Pepper, with a mini cinnabon for dessert.
At home its Chicken with Broccoli and a Large Hot & Sour Soup.

One thing you may not know about me is...
I'm a french frier!! (aka I ski rather than snowboard)

What's your proudest accomplishment while working at CCS this past year?
It can only be best put in the famous words of the Bee Gee's: Stayin' Alive
